NSW: Mudflap may hold clue to cyclist's death
Police believe a piece of a mudflap may hold the clue to the death of a cyclist in
a hit and run in Sydney's south-west.
MENA AYAD died after a truck struck him at an intersection in Punchbowl .. just before
8am (AEDT) on Saturday.
Senior Sergeant JOHN KELLY says the focus of the inquiry has turned to a portion of
mudflap found at the scene.
He says police are hoping to hear from anyone who knows of a truck with a damaged or
newly-replaced mudflap.
Snr Sgt KELLY says they've established that the flap's at least 20-years-old .. and
it's possible the truck involved is the same age.
